LASER DENTISTRY IS A NEW, THRIVING AREA OF DENTISTRY
Nowadays, lasers are used in all areas of dentistry. Tooth decay treatment, along with endodontic therapy, teeth whitening, preparation of dental tissue for prosthetic treatment, aphthous stomatitis and herpes simplex treatment – these are the procedures where we use lasers. Procedures are conducted with the use of photo-activated disinfection and help treat periodontitis and periimplantitis. The disease may lead to loss of implantation due to loss of the surrounding bone structures. Here, lasers bring favorable effects as well.
